VRB DEPLOYS THE COLLECTION OF BIOMETRIC INFORMATION AND UPDATES IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS OF CORPORATE CUSTOMERS

To ensure that customers' financial transactions are smooth, safe and secure, Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Bank (VRB) would like to announce the implementation of the collection of biometric information and updating of identification documents for Corporate Customers to comply with the provisions of Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN and Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection.

1. Purpose
The collection of biometrics and updating of identification documents aims to ensure that your information is accurately verified, complies with legal regulations and enhances security in banking transactions.
2. Applicable subjects
- Subjects of biometric collection: Legal representative, General Director/Director, Chief Accountant and Authorized Person of the enterprise.
- Subjects of identity document collection: Legal representative, Chief Accountant, Authorized Person, Person assigned to conduct transactions via electronic banking in the following cases:

• Identification documents have expired.
• The legal representative is a Vietnamese citizen but the identification document on the VRB system is a Passport.

Identification documents to be prepared:

• For Vietnamese customers: Valid CCCD/ID card.
• For foreign customers: Valid Passport.

3. Two (02) simple ways to provide identification documents and biometrics to the bank

• Option 1: Customers go to the nearest VRB Branch/Transaction Office and follow the instructions of the staff at the counter. For details on VRB's transaction network, please visit: https://vrbank.com.vn/en/vrb-branches/
• Option 2: In case you cannot go to a VRB Branch/Transaction Office, please contact a customer service officer for support.

4. Transactions affected if you do not provide biometrics and update your identification documents
From July 01, 2025, if corporate customers do not provide biometrics and update their identification documents, the following transactions will be temporarily interrupted:

• Cash withdrawal transactions;
• Electronic payment transactions on payment accounts.
